The New Park

Shades of summer today... Finn was very excited to wear his short pants, but objected to sandals because in the summer we only go barefoot.
It's been nice enough to enjoy the new play cube (courtesy of our neighbors down the block who traded up to a tree fort) for three days in a row! Needless to say, the babies sleep well...

Thank you to all for the wonderful Easter cards and gifts. The kids had a great time and we're still knee deep in eggs. Posted by Picasa

Sunny Spring

This Spring is the most beautiful I can remember. The weather is doing its very best to confound us all; rain, sleet, hail and sun together in the space of an hour. Still, the hyacinth are here and gorgeously purple.

Here are the kids making the most of a beautiful, atypical spring day. Posted by Picasa

The Juenemann Corral

It's High Noon. Black Bart saunters through town with a scowl on his face that would send a mountain lion running for cover. He stops to pose for the camera...

His sidekick, Kid Breakfast, sacrifices her own delicate complexion to save that of her trusted steed. A cowgirl with True Grit.

Happy Easter!

Here's some pics from Easter 2006. You can see that coloring eggs is a lot of hard work, but really fun. For future reference, if you hide your dyed eggs in wet grass wear gloves. The dye bleeds. At least ours did. Let me know if you have any tips on avoiding this.

Eran and Willow came to visit us on Saturday. We had a lot of fun finding our Easter baskets, and finding all the eggs hidden in the back yard (during a rare sunbreak). Then we got to eat those stinky eggs!! Yum!

Happy Easter to all!

Eat, Dan, eat!

I am sure you all remember Cowboy Dan from Finn's birthday party last year? Well, Dan has become one of Esme's treasured toys. She adores Dan. She likes to share everything with him, even dinner. Here's a shot of Dan and the kids, eating some pizza together. Wonder what the kids are saying? All together now..."Eat, Dan, eat!" Posted by Picasa

Ahead of the Curve

It's official. Our daughter, though only 18 months, is going through the fiercely independent stage called the Terrible Twos. Those who know her will inevitably ask how is this stage different for Esme, who has defended her personal liberties from an early age? Well, I guess the answer is the fight is bigger. The scream louder. The intent is clearer--let me do it myself, or suffer my wrath...And the most obvious sign... Some days are all wrath. Sigh. Posted by Picasa
